AAM has won two awards in 2 months;
 - Victorian “Mapping and Measurement” Spatial Excellence Award
 - NSW “Environmental” Excellence Award in Surveying and Spatial Information

As spatial consultants to GWMWater in Victoria, AAM provided datasets for a water pipeline project covering 11,700 square kilometres. AAM delivered LiDAR derived terrain data (+/-15cm vertical accuracy) and 60cm resolution orthoimagery. These data sets were the spatial foundation of the project’s planning and engineering works.

John Martin, GWMWater Manager of Technical Services, said it would not have been possible for the project schedule to have been “reduced from an initial 10 year project to five years, without LiDAR and orthophotography products (deployed by AAM).”

In NSW, AAM and our client, Blacktown City Council (BCC) were awarded the NSW Excellence Award in Surveying and Spatial Information. The project, “Investigations into Unauthorised Landfilling in Blacktown Local Government Area”, was commissioned by the BCC to continue surveillance of unauthorised landfilling activity.

BCC advocated identification of differences between the LiDAR derived DTMs and orthophotos to highlight changed landforms.
