The images below are of Sorrento, a peninsula at the southern tip of Port Phillip Bay about 60km SSW of thecentre of Melbourne. The image ground sample distance is 7.5 cm from a flying height of 2300 ft AGL, capturedin late August this year. The image shows the Queenscliff-Sorrento car and passenger ferry in transit. Theapplication of the image was to assess shallow water mapping capability of the Digital Mapping Camera (DMC).
