IKONOS is a small, light and compact satellite. Its agility provides the unique ability to collect large area “same pass” stereo collections. “Same pass” stereo allows both image pairs to have consistent lighting and environmental conditions. Stereo imagery is particularly valuable for Digital Elevation Model (DEM) and 3D feature extraction.
