Integration: 360 Degree Video and Pictometry

Another hot topic is the integration of new technologies such as 360 Degree Video with Pictometry®. The powerful combination of these perspectives and analysis capabilities is impressive.

Simultaneous viewing of the georeferenced 360 degree video with a backdrop of vertical photography has a wide range of applications which reduce the time and cost associated with field trips and asset maintenance.

The georeferenced 360 degree spherical videos taken from a pedestrian backpack, car, bike, plane or boat are further enhanced when combined with Pictometry oblique imagery and the contextual view of standard vertical imagery such as that afforded by Google Earth® or Microsoft BirdsEye™. The image above illustrates one of our data integration browsers which facilitates a range of tasks, including integration, navigation and location.

Visit our Pictometry and 360 degree webpages for further information on these technologies.

360 Degree Video can be captured with a variety of platforms, including pedestrian backpack or car.
