AAM sets up Victoria’s first vertical school

Victoria’s first vertical school will be the five-story South Melbourne Primary School.

AAM has been selected as the survey consultants by Kane Construction, and is in the process of setting up the project for the initial earthworks phase.

On Monday, Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews formally opened construction on the Ferrars Street site. The school will have sport and recreational facilities, a playground nearby, and is expected to be ready for the start of the 2018 school year.

This appointment confirms AAM’s position as a leading surveying and spatial consultant in education construction. Previous projects include 100s of Building the Education Revolution initiative schools, Melbourne University, Monash University, University of Sydney and many others across Australia. Currently, AAM is working with Watpac on 15 greenfield sites across Melbourne.
