Last week in Perth, AAM joined 15 other exhibitors and around 160 delegates at the first ever BIM Day Out (BDO). The BDO was devised in recognition of the growing emphasis and reliance of Building Information Models (BIM) to the architectural, construction and engineering industries.
BIM’s are a digital representation of a building used to support decision-making about a facility. They are applied from the earliest conceptual stages, through design and construction. They can also support a facility’s management through its operational life and eventual demolition.
AAM took the opportunity to sponsor the event and showcase our High Definition Survey (HDS) solutions for BIM development. With the feel of a music festival, the event boasted a diverse lineup of speakers, practical sessions and workshops. AAM’s HDS Survey Manager, Thomas Werner, said the innovative format was refreshing and attracted a great cross section of the BIM community.
Congratulations to the BDO organisers and staff at the event. We look forward to future events around the country.
