With more than 50 per cent of the world now living in cities, more and more governments are moving towards designing “smart cities”. AAM has assisted many governments and organisations with various projects related to designing and developing smart cities.
AAM’s General Manager of Surveying of the Australian East Coast, Braith McClure, was interviewed at the recent HxGN Live event in Hong Kong (18-20 November 2015) and spoke about how AAM utilises aerial photography, oblique imagery and LiDAR to capture the base level datasets that underpin 3D models and smart cities.
Braith also touched upon AAM’s work on calculating the volume of the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG).
Braith was interviewed along with Ruedi Wagner of Leica Geosystems by Monica Miller Rodgers of Hexagon Geosystems. You can watch the video by clicking here.
