Dr Kishore joins the AAM Geospatial Innovation and Advisory team

Dr Kishore Kumar Sundaresan has joined AAM, a Woolpert Company’s newly formed Advisory and Innovation team.

Kishore comes with over 23 years of experience in Geospatial Industry, working across Australia and the Middle East. An AAM employee of nearly five years, wearing multiple hats, Kishore’s new role as Senior Consultant sees him embark on a new chapter of work within his geospatial career.

AAM’s Advisory and Innovation team provides integrated strategic services built on AAM’s expertise and established presence within the geospatial solutions and GIS space. Complementing and enhancing other product and service offerings, expert consulting staff work internationally advising on key challenges such as geospatial policy, data infrastructure and enterprise architecture.

Headed by renowned geomatic scientist, engineer and global industry leader Dr Zaffar Mohamed-Ghouse, the Advisory and Innovation team delivers solutions for clients in the following sectors: Governments, Smart Cities, Transport, Logistics, Architecture, Engineering, Construction and Utilities.

Kishore joined the growing Advisory and Innovation team just last week transitioning from his former role of Senior Project Manager on the Geosolutions team. Having reached a stage of fulfillment within the Project Management space, Kishore expressed an interest in AAM’s new business venture seeing opportunity for professional development beyond the scope of his past roles.

“As Senior Consultant of Advisory and Innovation, I will be leveraging domestic and international networks, experience, and industry knowledge to bring new ideas, strategies, and innovation to our company and our clients,” Kishore said.

“Developing business opportunities and client advice to Australia and markets extending to the Middle East, Singapore and beyond, we will work to be positioned as a global leader in the provision of geospatial advisory and related delivery products and services.”

Kishore began his career at AAM as a Project Manager and managed major projects including a Heritage Management System for the New South Wales Department of Planning and Environment; the Mine Rehabilitation Portal for the Department of Regional New South Wales; Brisbane City Council’s eBiMAP and BrisMAP projects; and the New South Wales Government’s SEED Portal. He also managed projects for various clients including New South Wales Aboriginal Land Council; Western Power; Brisbane Airport Corporation; Central Coast Council; Central Highlands Water; Lake Macquarie City Council; Singleton Shire Council; ATCO; and the Western Australia Department of Transport.

Kishore also worked in the additional role of Information Security Management System (ISMS) Auditor for AAM, conducting internal audits of ISMS policies, processes, and procedures. He also coordinated external auditors and internal ISMS team members to achieve re-certification and surveillance of ISMS ISO 270001 certification. He was Project Manager before being promoted to Senior Project Manager on the Geosolutions team, seeing projects through their entire lifecycle ensuring quality outputs and customer satisfaction.

“During my tenure at AAM, I have developed a deep understanding of geospatial industry practices in Australian markets and gained experience in working and sharing knowledge with Australian geospatial customers,” Kishore said.

“As an implementation partner and provider of VertiGIS Studio products, AAM has leant itself to advise on its software, solutions, and suite of products giving rise to my own developed understanding.”

His new role as Senior Consultant on the Advisory and Innovation team requires robust knowledge on various components extending past the geospatial domain, but Kishore is up for the challenge. Advising on geospatial policy, policy development, frameworks, data infrastructure, enterprise architecture, and geospatial programs will see Kishore immerse himself into the latest geospatial technologies and frameworks adopted in the industry.
