A recently published GIM International article highlights the vital role strong partnerships play in managing the initial response to and subsequent clean-up efforts of natural disasters. Focusing on the recent Bundaberg flood event, the article demonstrates the importance of Government Agencies being able to draw upon the experience and resources of the private sector to rapidly deliver imagery and associated spatial data to support a co-ordinated response.
