Enhanced Service for AAM RapidEye customers and partners

AAM satellite customers are set to benefit from recent investment in download infrastructure. In April this year RapidEye enhanced their ongoing partnership Kongsberg Satellite Services (KSAT) to increase their downlink capacity through and extended antenna network. The strategically located stations provide more reliable, continuous data collection around the globe. Due to our southern location Australian users of RapidEye data are particular beneficiaries of the announcement. The improved communication service allows RapidEye contact with satellites on every orbit, which allows for more agile response and better maintenance of the satellites’ health and lifespan.

RapidEye is a leader in high-resolution, wide-area repetitive coverage of Earth through its constellation of five identical satellites. The spectral and temporal resolution of the data make it especially suited for broad acre collection for applications such as change detection and emergency response. This enhanced data reception capability will dramatically improve quality support and services to AAM’s RapidEye customers and partners.
