Your new role:

Continued growth has seen rapid development and growth in AAM’s cloud data processing and product delivery solutions for aerial LiDAR and Imagery to the Government Sector. Our expert team captures, processes and integrates client data to enable informed decisions. Current revenues for this sector are $8M annually and we are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Account Manager to drive growth. This is a permanent full-time position and can be based in Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane.

You’ll be a key part of a skilled team charged with managing existing Government key accounts plus creating business opportunities for AAM using leads and opportunities from the existing and prospective client lists. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Apply your technical and market knowledge across AAM’s target verticals and product lines to grow revenue with a primary focus of selling AAM’s aerial geospatial data offering;
  • Develop new business based on both proactive and reactive lead and opportunity nurturing;
  • Active contribution to continuous process improvement in Project Acquisition and Execution;
  • Travel to client sites and attendance/participation at local conferences, seminars and trade shows are expected to continue to grow AAM’s client base and strengthen its presence in the market.

About you:

You are passionate about working with clients to develop solutions that deliver value for both them and AAM. You are a creative thinker that draws on AAM’s suite of offerings to design innovative solutions to client problems.

You bring your experience to contribute to the development of the sales team, improve sales processes and opportunity conversion rates.

You are well connected within the Government sector, able to tap into your own well-developed network of industry contacts to grow the business.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

  • Tertiary qualifications or equivalent in spatial sciences, geomatics, engineering, GIS or computing sciences.
  • 5+ years sales experience in the Government sector
  • Well-developed solution selling skills in the B2B environment with a proven track record of meeting targets and quotas– if you know the ‘Trusted Adviser’ approach, you’ll love this job!
  • Previous experience in at least one of the following areas: geospatial data (Imagery or LiDAR), engineering, energy or mining, GIS/Geospatial software
