RapidEye Archive Satellite Imagery : A Real Asset for Monitoring

A total of 235,826 square kilometres of 5m orthoimagery has recently been supplied to one client from the extensive Australian archive of RapidEye imagery. The data required for this major environmental research project had specific seasonal requirements across several years dating back to 2009.

The evaluation criteria effectively satisfied by RapidEye were fourfold:
1. Suitable spectral and spatial resolution
2. Multiple coverages available per year for the required areas of interest
3. Cost effective price point
4. Rapid delivery of products

If you wish to complete your own search for multitemporal data, search the RapidEye online archive EyeFIND to examine the depth of 5m orthoimage information available. Otherwise please contact our Imagery Team to receive more information for your monitoring requirements. We are always happy to hear from you.

Keep in mind the breadth of AAM’s offering, if you require high resolution imagery (satellite or aerial) or terrain / coastal data (topographic or bathymetric), AAM has the capability and experience to support your project’s Geocontent and web mapping requirements.
