Quality, Safety and Sustainability
High standards achieved through continuous improvement
Drawing on client, staff and management feedback, Woolpert actively implements continuous improvement to our safety, quality and information security systems. Our safety system is designed to the requirements of ISO 45001, while our external Quality certification for our Australian operations is for ISO 9001:2015. These key systems continue to evolve to suit the dynamic KPIs of our key clients.
Woolpert maintains certification on several key supplier portals for our land and aerial survey services, including the Avetta platform. Examples of clients seeking this exacting level of certification include Rio Tinto Gove Operations, ARTC, Qenos, and Metro Trains Melbourne.
We achieve improvements by reviewing our work processes and acting on client feedback. These inputs guide the way we do business and ensure we meet and exceed regulatory requirements and deliver on the high standards we set for ourselves.
Rigorous safety practices deliver greater certainty
We are committed to having all employees, contractors and those we work with to “plan safe, work safe and be safe”.
Our teams work in a diverse range of locations and environments, so we constantly review and update our procedures relating to job safety and staff wellbeing.
Our operations on a domestic and international level are well versed at responding to dynamic conditions – whether these are related to weather, covid restrictions or other government and client requirements.
Our Safety Management System and Risk Management culture ensures we comply with all relevant safety legislation.
We understand many work sites have stringent and mandatory safety requirements. You can be assured that all our field personnel are trained to meet such requirements with a range of appropriate certifications held for various roles.
We mitigate costly risks and irreversible mistakes in complex work environments by identifying safety considerations in our project start up meetings with clients and regular account management meetings.
Our operators working with aircraft and remotely piloted aerial vehicles understand and comply with required aviation standards in the locations they operate in.
Our land and industrial surveyors operate to client and state requirements whether undertaking industrial, precision, cadastral or bathymetric surveys.
Plan safe, work safe, be safe.
High quality standards ensure high quality service delivery
We hold ISO 9001 Quality certification for our Australian operations. This internationally recognised quality standard confirms that through our Quality Management System, we take a systematic approach to identifying and managing all the interrelated processes within Woolpert.
We obtained this certification by demonstrating our customer service focus; our engaged leadership team; our process approach, ongoing performance measurement; and our commitment to continuous improvement. Our ISO 9001 Quality certification for Australia means that when you partner with Woolpert you’ll receive products and services that are consistent and meet externally validated standards of quality.
For our hosting and management of custom Web Mapping solutions SaaS Platform and managed services, we hold ISO 27001 Information Security certification for our Australian operations. This is an internationally recognised information security management system (ISMS) standard. This certifies that we have a process to assess and manage the risks associated with operating the services covered by the scope of our certification.

Committed to operating sustainably
Our business is built around studying the earth, its topography, ecosystems and all built infrastructure. As such, we are keenly focused on ensuring we operate sustainably.
In the various jurisdictions in which we operate, we comply with all relevant environmental laws, regulations and obligations. Beyond legal requirements, we work to achieve best practice in environmental management given the range of services we offer.
Our environmental initiatives include recycling where possible, using energy efficient devices and power-saving technologies; and ensuring ongoing improvement in how we interact with the environment.
We take a digital-first approach to our workplaces and collaboration. This means less paper and consumables are used; less waste is generated; and travel is minimised.
Importantly, we are helping a growing number of clients in the renewables sector to bring their environmentally friendly and sustainable projects to life.
