AAM Talks Smart Cities at Locate17

Improving the lives of its citizens has long been the business of government and the implementation of smart city initiatives is seen today as a crucial means to achieving this.

The collaboration of Industry and Government in the global Smart Cities industry forms the key theme of this year’s Locate Conference and AAM is proud to have a strong presence at this event, having worked on numerous smart city projects around the world.

Since 2014, AAM has proudly worked with Singaporean authorities in capturing the spatial data needed to produce an accurate and up-to-date digital 3D map of the city-state. These 3D models can then be used for a wide range of smart city applications such as intuitive utilities management and 3D property management.

To elaborate on the technology behind a 3D mapping project of such scale and complexity will be Daniel Kruimel, AAM’s Business Development Manager of South East Asia. Be sure to catch Daniel’s presentation at 12:15PM on Wednesday 5 April.

On Thursday 6th April at 9:00AM, we have an insightful keynote presentation which will be jointly given by Brian Nicholls, AAM Executive Director, and Dr Victor Khoo, Deputy Director, Land Survey Division of the Singapore Land Authority.  The focus of this session will be on the links between geospatial data and smart city initiatives and the visionary leadership Singapore is playing in this field.

AAM will be at Booth 16 for the duration of the Locate Conference.
