Super Swim hero Glenn Morrison goes the distance for sick kids

A hearty congratulations to Woolpert Director of Operations, Asia-Pacific region, Glenn Morrison, on his participation and commitment to the Starlight Children’s Foundation Super Swim this February.

Representing Woolpert, Glenn went the distance and made a splash for sick kids, going above and beyond to swim over 48 km. A remarkable feat of strength, stamina, and perseverance, Glenn’s great efforts made real impact, raising $1,638 toward Starlight programs.

Each year, the Starlight Super Swim draws thousands of swimmers, from the social to the professional, to join Australia’s biggest national charity swim. Over 29 days, Super Swim heroes rise to the challenge, smashing their fundraising goals to help brighten the lives of sick kids in hospital. This years’ challenge saw 13,000 participants suit up to swim 1,161,303km, together raising an enormous $3,680,076.

Along the course of the Super Swim, not only did Glenn hit the pool to get in his laps, but he also took part in the 35th annual Rottnest Channel Swim. A 19.7 km open water swim from Cottesloe Beach to Rottnest Island, Glenn took part in the duo category, joined by his wife Carolyn. Despite choppy conditions and nature’s force calling an early end to the event, Glenn and Carolyn went the distance while safe to do so.

The funds raised from the Starlight Super Swim directly support the Starlight Children’s Foundation hospital services, including the Starlight Express Rooms and Captain Starlight, that provide sick kids with much needed positive distraction from isolation and stress of treatment.
