Woolpert aviation leadership is in action this week at Archerfield Airport. Our Woolpert Airborne Operations Manager, Asia-Pacific region, Dorian Munting, landed in Queensland to deliver a safety toolbox talk and meet with the Quality Manager.
Meeting with Queensland-based Airborne Sensor Operator (ASO) Didier Beaudequin, the pair undertook a routine proficiency check with a focus on reviewing safety and quality protocols. The face-to-face meeting also presented the perfect opportunity to discuss our Air Operation’s safety program priorities for the new year. Some of these areas of focus included reviewing and enhancing the latest technical competency syllabus for our ASOs.
With sensor upgrades and new configurations the norm, our technical manuals and competencies are regularly assessed to ensure efficient, competent and safe operation so that quality data capture is achieved.
Our Asia-Pacific Air Operations team stay alert to both the on-tarmac and in-air safety requirements for our aerial imaging and LiDAR survey tasks around Australia, New Zealand, Southeast Asia and the Pacific Islands.
